swansong for an orchid petal

mr. toucan, mr toucan what can I say
you sit there above me and look down that way
mr. monkey, mr. monkey tumbling free
you are pointing and laughing and looking at me

and the jungle it whispers
the trees dance and sway
and the raindrops make kisses
and the creek flows this way
and pounding of the rhythem
and the burning of springs
and over and over the forest it sings
and over and over the forest it sings

mr. lemur, mr. lemur dares to protest
as he's winking prophetics and pounding his chest
mrs. jaguar, mrs. jaguar is as patient as true
she is watching for the bison who are watching for you

and the jungle it whispers
the trees dance and sway
and the raindrops make kisses
and the creek flows this way
and pounding of the rhythem
and the burning of springs
and over and over the forest it sings

and the politics of the river
at the detriment of the falls
as the north winds deliver
and the south wind it calls
and it all goes in circles
while the bee's count thier stings
and over and over the forest it sings
and over and over the forest it sings
